Easter Saturday

On the Saturday before Easter, we visited some friends and then had a wonderful evening with Matt's mom, step-dad, brother and sister-in-law.  Before dinner, the girls decorated Easter basket cupcakes with Gramma.  They had a lot of fun, but enjoyed sampling the pieces more.

Icing the cupcakes.  I think more icing ended up in their tummies then on the cupcakes.

Adding the finishing touches...

An Easter basket cupcake!

Not completely sure how to interpret this picture.

Just diving right in.

Dying eggs for the Easter bunny to hide.  Using whisks to dye the eggs was GENIUS.  I love pinterest.

Easter Sunday

This post is hugely picture heavy because my girls are freakishly adorable.  You have been warned.

This year was a KC year for Easter.  I have more to post about Easter fun, but as I was putting the pictures together, I realized one Easter post was going to be too long and I had already started compiling the Sunday pictures since I have to choose the pictures in reverse order for them to be in chronological order on the blog.  ANYWAY, here is Sunday.

Is she not the CUTEST?

Searching for the eggs the Easter Bunny left behind

Found the Easter baskets!

Candy!

Ok.  This may be my most favorite three pictures in the history of forever.  I had to use rocks to balance out the baskets.  I had them arranged all cute, but the back was a lot heavier than the front, so I put a rock underneath the stuffed bunnies to even them out.  I covered them with the plastic grass, but Charlotte discovered hers.  Her reaction was AWESOME.

What the heck is this?

"Why did the Easter Bunny bring me a rock?"

"Did he bring me a rock because I was bad?  I wasn't bad!"
She totally came up with the rock=bad thing on her own.  I had to explain to her that she didn't get a rock because the Easter Bunny thought she was bad this year.  Ha!  She cracks me up.  She was so sad.  But then she thought it was funny there was a rock in her basket and kept telling people "The Easter Bunny brought me a rock but not because I was bad.  Ha ha!"  I heart her.

"Lipsticks!"

Stealing Charlotte's eggs while her back is turned...

...and putting them in her basket and running.

Trying (and failing) to get the girls to look at me at the same time, without putting chapstick on, while smiling, at the same freaking time.  Impossible.

Is she not the most fashionable girl in the world?

Ready to go home!
