Randomness

I had some pictures on the camera that don't really form a cohesive story, but I did want to share them since my girls are so gosh darn cute!

Working on her smiles. Is this girl not the cutest?

Charlotte's first solo ice cream cone. Yummy!

It's always better to wear your ice cream.

My mom is going to be in the next Penzey's catalog (more on that later!) so we had to stage some holiday pictures for the story. Too cute not to share (even if they are a little premature).

Opening the Halloween present from Gramma and Papa Ridley

Audrey is AMAZED by the card.

Me and my girls. I love them!

Seriously, Charlotte? So classy.

Eckert's 2010

In what has now become a yearly tradition, we went apple and pumpkin picking at Eckert's with my parents, Aunt Shirley, Stephanie and Derek. It was a lot of fun. Charlotte and Derek play so well together. I'm glad they get to spend time with each other.

Alright, Mom, I've found our pumpkin!

Big D driving the tractor.

On our way to the orchard.

Nothing better than an apple straight from the tree.

Big bites for little kids.

Protecting Audrey from the sun.

Aren't they cute? They're walking and holding their apples the same way. Aunt Shirley and I had the same idea about the same time to take a picture. Fall perfection. :)

We spotted a couple of great trees with lots of good apples low to the ground so Charlotte actually got to pull one off the tree. She loved it!

Headed back to the wagon to go to the pumpkin patch.

Derek has such a great smile.

"This one." This pumpkin is now carved on our front porch.

Hunting for the perfect pumpkin.

Flying!

She looks like she's ghetto driving the plane. I love it.

"No, no, goat."

Kids and their sandboxes. The kiddos had a great time here.

Family picture. Isn't it great? I love my little family!

Kansas City Trip x2

We visited Kansas City the last weekend in September for Matthew's 10th High School Reunion and again a few weeks later before heading to El Dorado, KS to visit Gigi (Great-Grandma Fuller). I decided to go ahead and put both events together just because I want to. You'll have to forgive me for the number of pictures.

Yummy breakfast at Gramma and Papa's house.

Why, yes, I did have a powdered sugar donut for breakfast. Who wants to know?

Here, Gramma, you eat one, too.

The healthier portion of breakfast.

Gramma and Audrey

Ready for a night out. The reunion was fun. Every one commented on how skinny Matthew was. He obviously has not birthed two children.

Sisters playing after a fun night with Gramma and Papa.

Froggie boots for playing in puddles. Aren't they adorable?

Looking for frogs

Shucking corn for lunch

Lunch is almost ready! Matthew, Audrey and I left after lunch to visit Uncle Andy before heading home. Charlotte stayed the next couple of days with Gramma and Papa Ridley and then Grandpa Freeman and Grandma Edie.

Audrey, meet Jordan.

Daddy and Audrey watching the Chiefs

A brief visit with Aunt Lindsey. She was working and come home during her lunch break.

Visit number 2 in El Dorado. We had/created a three-day weekend and drove out there. We picked Debbie up in KC before heading out to KS.

Pizza Hut dinner at the park. Matthew and Andrew did this many times when they visited their Grandma and Grandpa. Side note- shouldn't Charlotte be a teenager before she starts giving me that look? Geez.

Group picture with less attitude from the toddler.

Sleepy girl. It was a long drive.

The tallest slide I have ever seen at a playground. Charlotte is pretty darn brave, but wouldn't go down this slide without me. It was pretty intense as far as slides go.

Our daredevil. She started climbing it on her own.

Helping Gigi open her presents. We went down the weekend before her 84th birthday. Happy Birthday, Gigi!

Ooooh, slippers!

We went to visit the cabin the last day we were there. Charlotte loved playing with the door.

The Great Wall of Fuller. Kirk, Debbie, Matthew, Andrew, Pepper Ray and I went to El Dorado to help build this in late 2006, maybe 2007. It is an extremely long fence to separate Grandma Fuller's land from the neighbors. It was quite a task!

Headed out to the pond.

Nature girl looking for frogs.

My girls. :)

The fam. Thanks for looking at the camera, Charlotte.

Three (of four) generations.

Gigi and her youngest great-grandchild. Precious. She didn't know I was taking her picture.

Tuckered out after a fun day at the cabin.

Big bit was out, too. My camera battery died shortly after this, so I don't have the group picture before we left, but maybe I can convince my mother-in-law to send me a copy. :)
