Charlotte's First Photo Shoot

We went to Kansas City a few weekends ago for Gramma's birthday, a wedding, and to participate in her first photo shoot. Grandma Ridley wanted to surprise Gramma with a four generation photo, so she invited Pepper Shady to come out and take pictures of the family. Charlotte was not at her best that afternoon, so we have a lot of pictures of Charlotte crying, but we did end up with some absolutely priceless photos. I don't have any living grandparents, so it is so special that Charlotte had the chance to meet her great-grandma Fuller.

Is this not the sweetest picture ever?

What up, yo?

That's right. The Tigers rock! You got something to say about it?

Three Months Old!

Can you believe she's already three months old? We were a little behind on taking her 3-month pictures, but Charlotte had been going through a bit of a fussy phase in the evening. I didn't want her 3-month pictures to be of her screaming. The phase is pretty much over, but she still has her evening moments. We'll let it slide for now, though, since she is basically perfect the rest of the time.

What's that you say? I'm the cutest three-month-old in the world?

Mommy, you are so funny!

And I know this isn't the best picture in the world, but her face is just too priceless not to share with the world.

The Dangers of Having a Science Teacher For a Dad

Some days, you experiment. Other days, you are the experiment.

Sorry, Dad. She's not ready for the high chair yet.

Driving Miss Charlotte

She may not quite be ready for the roads, but is super cute behind the wheel of her Mustang walker!

This dashboard is yummy.

I don't know about this, Dad.

Seriously, I don't know about this.

Is this toy not the coolest thing ever? Matt cannot wait until she is just a wee bit bigger and can totally play with it. She did, however, figure out how to honk the horn by falling forward and hitting the wheel with her head. She is just so smart!

Yay for Mommy Days!

I had the day off Monday for Columbus Day (gotta love being a state employee) so I got to spend the whole day with my beautiful and amazing daughter. It was absolutely the best day! I was so excited, that I decided to document the day in pictures. So here is a photo essay titled "Mommy and Me".

Our day started around 4:30 when Charlotte woke up for a very early breakfast. She went right back to sleep, but started whimpering around 6:30 so I broke my rule and brought her to bed with me. We snoozed and cuddled until about 8:30 when we finally rolled out of bed and started our day with a second breakfast. Then came Charlotte's favorite part of the day- changing time!

Next Charlotte showed off how well she can hold up her head.

And then we played a rousing game of super baby.

Charlotte loves her playmat.

And helping me with the laundry.

But it is all very exhausting.

After a nice little nap and another meal, it was tummy time!

Then Charlotte helped me put away the dishes and make some peanut butter muffins (recipe to follow- they were awesome!)

Then some more very productive tummy time.

Daddy came home and interrupted our fun, but it's ok. Daddy's kind of cool. It also turned out to be time for a dance party, which makes for some blurry pictures.

And then we ate some muffins.

Followed by yet another nap.

After dinner we had some fun in the tub, followed by Charlotte's favorite time- naked time.

We got nice and comfy in our jammies.

With the cute little ducky on the butt.

And then it was time to tucker out. Mommy days are exhausting!

Stay tuned... it's a Daddy day on Friday!

Two Months Old!

Charlotte turned two months old today, and we had to take a photo. She's been sick for the past several days with a cold (daddy has too), but we caught her awake and in a great mood tonight!

And for your viewing pleasure, a video of the "birthday" girl.

Believe it or not, this smiley little girl had to have four shots today, but she was a trooper! She left her two-month check-up with a set of Dora the Explorer band aids and probably a fear of needles, but Dr. Smith gave her a clean bill of health. She is now 12 pounds, 6 ounces and 23.25 inches long (5.613 kilograms and 59.05 centimeters). Such a big girl!
