My Adventures With Daddy

Daddy and I have lots of fun together. Sometimes Mommy's not around to supervise and make sure Daddy stays in line; Daddy Days are the super fun! Daddy got to stay home with me and play all day. The following is a photo-synopsis of our Charlotte and Daddy day.Time to wake up! I really like my ducky sleeper with the duck feet and the quilt that Mrs. Pendarvis made for me. They keep my feet warm even when Daddy keeps the heat on 18 degrees C.After I woke up and got my diaper changed, it was time to play in the jungle.Next, Daddy decided it would be good to take me out of my pajamas and dress me up in Pooh.
It's cold outside; maybe Daddy can find me some gloves.
Wait, these aren't gloves! They taste like feet!
Okay, Daddy. The "gloves" were a bad idea. Time to go for a walk.
Please! No pictures!
This walk sure is taking awhile. I wonder where we're headed.Mmmm, that sure was good! Just kidding, Mommy. I want to come back here next year!
The walk home was long and tiring.
I was tuckered out.
Really tuckered out!
In case you were wondering, this is the best way to suck your thumb.
Diaper time!
Num, Num, Num, Num... Good stuff.
Naw, I'd rather eat the burp cloth than burp.
What? It's really tasty!
Now that I'm fed, it's time to play.
Where's Charlotte?
There she is!!!
Now, for some exploring in the jungle:
I think now I want to play on my Boppy.
This is fun!
The Great Charlotte Diaper-Houdini will now morph into a different shape. See if you can guess what I am pretending to be:
I'm a bat! (maybe a flying squirrel is more accurate, plus mommy loves squirrels)
Now, to the bat cave, er, uh, jungle for a bat-nap.
After I woke up, Daddy decided to get ready to take me for my afternoon walk.
We were just getting ready to go, when the door opened and startled me!
Oh no, the dreaded kissy-monster!!!
Oh, geez! You're smothering me, Mommy! I love it though.Daddy may be lots of fun, but I'm sure glad to see Mommy come home!

Don't Forget to Vote!

Just a friendly reminder to all our friends and family- get out there and vote! No matter who you vote for, just make sure you do it! We are lucky to be a remarkable part of history this year and I shouldn't have to remind you about your civic duty (I'll leave my jury duty/civic duty speech for another time).

Charlotte, though she can't vote, has decided she supports Obama. She will always cast a vote for a change! (Get it? Like a diaper change? Ha ha ha.)

You better go vote; I've got my eye on you.

Poor little Charlotte

Matthew had to take a day off of work yesterday to take our little girl to the doctor. She's had a cold for over a month now, and the doctor told us to watch her and if she got worse, to give him a call. A few days ago, the cough started to get worse and then the daycare provider commented on it, so we decided it was time to take her in.

The doctor checked her out and while the cough didn't concern him, he did think she might have an ear infection since she had been stuffed up so long. He tried to check out her ears, but apparently she had too much buildup in her ears, so he had to clean them out first. She tolerated it like a champ for the first few minutes, but then decided to let Dr. Smith have it. There was some fluid in her ear, so Dr. Smith prescribed Amoxicillin and told Matthew to bring her back in a couple of weeks. Now she gets to drink pink milk. Hopefully she'll be better soon!

Just like Mommy

Charlotte loves to read!

Charlotte's First Photo Shoot

We went to Kansas City a few weekends ago for Gramma's birthday, a wedding, and to participate in her first photo shoot. Grandma Ridley wanted to surprise Gramma with a four generation photo, so she invited Pepper Shady to come out and take pictures of the family. Charlotte was not at her best that afternoon, so we have a lot of pictures of Charlotte crying, but we did end up with some absolutely priceless photos. I don't have any living grandparents, so it is so special that Charlotte had the chance to meet her great-grandma Fuller.

Is this not the sweetest picture ever?

What up, yo?

That's right. The Tigers rock! You got something to say about it?

Three Months Old!

Can you believe she's already three months old? We were a little behind on taking her 3-month pictures, but Charlotte had been going through a bit of a fussy phase in the evening. I didn't want her 3-month pictures to be of her screaming. The phase is pretty much over, but she still has her evening moments. We'll let it slide for now, though, since she is basically perfect the rest of the time.

What's that you say? I'm the cutest three-month-old in the world?

Mommy, you are so funny!

And I know this isn't the best picture in the world, but her face is just too priceless not to share with the world.
