Wild Lights 2011

Every year, my parents and other zoo donors are invited to their own special night at the zoo to see the holiday lights.  It is awesome!  Lots of lights, food and fun!  Some years it has been uncomfortably cold, but this year was quite pleasant- low to mid forties.  We had a great time looking at all the pretty lights and eating the tasty food!
Me and my girl in front of Santa.

Dessert first!  In years past, we've made it to the dessert area near the end and have had  less than stellar selections available.  This year we checked out dessert first and actually got some of the strawberries for the chocolate fountain.

Audrey enjoyed hers.

Charlotte wanted her picture taken by the big penguin.

More penguin lights!

Sleeping penguins.  These are the guys who hang out outside.  They were adorable!

Watching the penguins swim.

This is the little stinker that splashed us.  Charlotte was so upset.  "The penguin splashed water in my eye!  That wasn't very nice.  He needs to go to time out."  She decided it was time to leave the penguins.  :)

Recovered from the splash and enjoying Grandma and the puffins.

Grandpa showing Charlotte the lights.

The lights across the lake.  Aren't they pretty?

The  lights at the main entrance.  Isn't that tree pretty?  Another fun year.  Thanks, Grandma and Grandpa!
